From 1st December 2008 there will be no minor injuries service operating from the hospital site. Arrangements have been made for this service to operate from the local GP surgery from 8.00 to 6.30 on normal working days excluding weekends and public holidays.

Further Talks
Following a meeting between Andy Williams and local GP’s together with the business consultants employed by the Action Team, it was agreed that further discussions were needed to see what savings could be made at the Hospital without reducing services. It is hoped that a further meeting could be arranged within the next few weeks.
Powys County Council
The Action Team discussed the motion that was put to Powys County Council on 1st March and expressed dissatisfaction at the outcome. As a result, it was agreed to try to arrange a meeting between representatives of the Powys Action Groups and the Board of Powys County Council to try to resolve any differences there may be between the Council and it’s constituents.
Cardiff Rally
Following a meeting by the Action Team it has been decided that the campaign to save the Hospital is progressing satisfactorily and as a result, feel that the rally originally planned for the end of March, will now be better held in May following the Assembly elections. It is hoped that a meeting could be arranged with the new administration.
Painting Competition
In conjunction with Llanidloes Primary School, children are invited to enter a painting competition with the theme of “Our Hospital”. The winners will have their entries framed and will be presented with a book token. Entries to be submitted to Llanidloes Health Centre by the closing date, which is 30th March 2007.
